About Us

The Mobility Centre has grown over the years since we started the business in 2005, by the Brazier Family (David, Richard & Lucy)

We are a family run business, and like to treat customers as we would like a member of our own family to be treated.

Our humble beginnings started on the local weekly markets in Flitwick, Leighton Buzzard, Biggleswade, St Neots and Bedford. Seeing that there was potential to develop the business further, David Brazier searched for a more permanent business location, we eventually settled at Staples Garden Centre in Millbrook Bedfordshire, where we traded from there for a few years.

We soon was to outgrow our shop, and with the ever increasing customer base we had to look for additional premises. We set up a High Street shop in St Neots, which was run by Paul Jeffery and our client base grew further, as we reached out to customers in Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and beyond, as well as attending to existing customers in Central Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Bedford that we had already on our books!

In 2012 Centre Parcs started work in Woburn Forest, and Staples Garden Centre was set to close due to the development. We then found our current premises in College Street Kempston. With the company expanding further, we had soon outgrown our high street shop in St Neots, and needed to find a new location, which was an industrial unit in Eaton Socon. We traded there until COVID took hold in 2019 when we streamlined the company and moved ALL our business to the Kempston office.

One of our biggest achievements is gaining Motability accreditation. We specialise in complex powered wheelchairs, and mobility scooters. We have two Motability Co-Ordinators, Pete Bennington & Paul Jeffery, if you require any information or help with Motability please give one of them a call !

This is our story so far, who knows what the next chapter will hold for us…………….!
